Book Cover Design

I named my book "Art Scuba Diver."

This book is for my autobiography. Because it is about my story, I listed some main points about my life and chose three from it as the key points for this book cover. The one point is that I'm an illustrator. The second one is that I love art. The last one is that I love scuba diving.

Based on my key points, I want to create a book cover that includes art and scuba diving by using illustration style.

Front Side Brief

I chose the deep blue as the background to show that it is under the sea and painted the colorful bubbles to show the art is colorful.

Also, I created the bubbles as a curve shape to lead the audience's eyes from top to bottom and put the title around it so that the customer can read it smoothly.

I used light blue as my title and text color because it is light enough and draws attention to the book's spine. Also, it is clear but not too stand out on the main cover. The visual level is lower that the yellow and red-orange color that is the contrasting color for the background blue and purple. I used the contrasting color combinations to make the cover that draw more attention and made it more interesting.

I used Brlnsb as my tittle typeface. For this typeface, the inside of the letters "A, a, b" are round shape. It connected with the bubbles that I made around the tittle.

Back Side Brief

I used Arlrdbd as my body text typeface because it is easy for reading and has round corners that connected with the round shape of the bubbles. Also, for the body text, I combined the Brlnsb and Arlrdbd typefaces and used Brlnsb to show the keywords of the text.

I created a logo for myself and put it on my intro page and back fold page. The logo is combined an "M" and upside-down "A" that is my last name, Ma.
